The brief from the client was to create a natural, rustic garden to give the space a bushland feel in the heart of Beecroft. Being keen gardeners themselves, the clients wanted space to plant a variety of shrubs and plants as well as several raised gardens beds for vegetables and herbs. We built three raised vegie garden boxes using recycled railway sleepers to create a rustic, earthy feel. Surrounding the veggie garden are blustone stepping stones to match the cobbled border mower edging. A tiered sandstone boulder wall creates a striking feature and an entrance point in the lower part of the garden and leads nicely up to the bench seat made with recycled railway sleepers, a perfect place for the owners and their family to sit and enjoy their garden.
